Muziklaban kick-off was supposed to happen last June 21 in General Santos City. So I was sent there to check on the event. I was sent earlier so I could also conduct a route ride while I was there. I spent five days in Gensan where I busied myself visiting different bars and trying out the different places to eat. I ate alot of tuna since Gensan is the tuna capital of the country. But there was one place that I really really liked, It's a european steak place (it actually looks more like a carinderia). They serve the cheapest and most delicious t-bone steak I've ever tasted. And it's really big. The rice was also interesting, it's colored blue, I don't know what's in it or why they thought of making it blue but it is so good! You won't believe this whole meal cost only P200.00

Boracay!!!
Last June 13-15, Mac and I went to Boracay for a long-awaited vacation to de-stress and spend time with each other. It's our farthest trip together so far and Mac's first airplane ride so I was so excited for him.
After an airplane, van, boat and trike ride we were finally stepping on the white sands of Boracay!
At last, he's ridden a plane!
It's our farthest trip together (so far)...
First, we wanted to scout for other hotels that we can stay in although I have a booking in La Carmela we still wanted to check out other places. A guide kept on following us and recommending places that were not up to our standards. In the end, we just decided to stay in La Carmela after all since we were already tired of walking and their rooms are okay. La Carmela's rooms are okay although there were no hot water and I didnt like the location much coz it was a little far from station 1 where the restaurants are.
After checking in, we proceeded to look for a place to eat and since we were already hungry and didn't want to wait, we decided to eat in Andok's. After the late lunch we walked from Station 3 to Station 1 and scouted out places that we want to visit and restaurants we wanted to try.
We tried the famous Jonah's shakes which was okay and went on a paraw ride to see the sunset. Mac was so funny, being afraid of the water and all, he tried to wear the life vest which almost didn't fit him. We then went to swim in BOracay's shores. We loved the grotto area where the water was so clear that we can see fishes just swimming by our feet.
The Paraw ride (notice Mac trying to make the life vest fit him)
Trying to catch the sunset
Sunset again... Solo, this time.
Swimming!
We had our dinner in Gastoff's (I don't know if I got the name right) to try their ribs which was not as expected, racks was still better). we wanted to go drinking after so we went out at around 111pm but there were not a lot of parties going on, maybe because it was already off-season.
Waiting for dinner. I look sleepy already.
The standard Boracay sandcastle shot...
On our second day, we tried the ATV ride going to Mt. Luho which was such a rip-off. Still, the view from Mt. Luho was nice. We went swimming after coz it was so hot, but we forgot to put the sunblock in the bag and since we didnt want to go back to the hotel we just decided to swim anyway. We were under the sun from 10am to 1pm. Mac improved a bit in his swimming attempts. He can already float ( a little. hehe). When we got out of the water, we ate lunch at Nigi Nigi Nu Noos where the food was delish! Also got to try the rootbeer snowcone which was also good.

Mac thinking (I wonder what he's thinking of...hmm...food, probably. hehe)
We got massages after lunch and went to sleep. When we woke up we had such a bad sunburn that a simple touch is really painful. Nice time I will never forget the sunblock.
The next day the sunburn was getting worse so we didn't get to swim. We just ate brunch at a mexican place ( i forgot the name), went shopping for pasalubong and matching boracay shirts.
Notice the red faces...
My food before and after
Another tricycle, van, airplane ride and we were back again in Manila and back to the stress of everyday life. At least we had fun and Mac now wants to save up so we could travel again someplace else, sometime soon.

Muziklaban Press Launch
It's Muziklaban's 10th year! Although this year it's harder to mount the event because of the new brand team and new rules and targets that we have to keep in mind, it still feels good to be able to pull off another event (even if its just a small press launch).
After everyone from the press has gone home and the program was over, it was time to have some fun with the side activities that we prepared for the press launch. It was my first time playing guitar freaks, it was so addicting that I think I spent almost an hour playing it. =) I left the event at around 1:00am already because of playing guitar freaks. I was surprisingly good! No one was able to beat my high score! haha....
Rey, Gab, Me, Jelle, Barbie and Bert
Woohoo... Guitar Freaks!!!!
Look at James' lost boy look
Dancing Heads!!!!
I'm the Guitar Freak Champion!!!
After the event, our marketing manager walked up to me and said "good work"...hmm...feels good to be appreciated even for just a night. Oh and if you notice, almost all of us are wearing black coz we instructed people to come in their best rock outfit. The person chosen to have the best rock outfit was Harold of Rakista.com, he won an IPOD from us. (An ipod which stressed me so much coz it almost didn't arrive in time for the event).
Till the next rocking gig..... (which is just a week away).

Husband And Wife Tag (Because I have nothing better to do)
How long did you date? More than 3 years.
How old is he? 24
Who eats more? He does.
Who said “I love you” first? He did
Who is taller? He is.
Who sings better? I do (hehe….)
Who is smarter? I’m book smart, he’s street smart
Whose temper is worse? His
Who does the laundry? He will… =)
Who does the dishes? Alternate
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? He does
Who pays the bills? Both of us.
Who mows the lawn? We don’t have a lawn.
Who cooks dinner? We both cook. But I only know how to do fried stuff. He can cook sinigang and other more complicated dishes.
Who drives when you are together? I do
Who is more stubborn? He is.
Who kissed who first? He did.
Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? No one. We’re both so stubborn.
Whose parents do you see the most? Mine.
Who proposed? Of course he did.
Who is more sensitive? Haha. He is.
Who has more friends? I do.
Who has more siblings? He does
Who wears the pants in the family? Haha…He might get mad if I say I do.
