Got to attend the Ultimate Taste Test mounted by the people behind Our Awesome Planet

Anton Diaz of OAP is one of my idols in the blogging industry. I always make sure to check on his site every week to keep up to date with new food finds and other interesting things to visit.

Tickets only cost P380.00 and although the servings were just bite size, you can still be so full with all the variety of pastries, meals and appetizers available for you to rate.

My winner will be the siomai!

We won the best decor for our Halloween in the office again.

We are just so made for scary stuff and not for the happy Christmas season (since we always just place first in our Christmas presentations)

We trashed the tables!

And I dressed as Wednesday. Everyone had fun dressing up and scaring kids.

2011 Starbucks Planner

The race to get the 2011 Starbucks Planner is on.

Time to visit our favorite Starbucks stores again.

Like last year, you need to collect 17 stickers. 9 should be their Christmas drinks and the rest can be any Starbucks coffee.

They have 3 versions of the planner - brown, gray and red. I love the one with the red cover. Was not able to take pictures because of the long line in Starbucks.

I guess everyone else is excited about the planner. :)

Food was a little expensive but worth it. An order can actually be good for 2 people.

For appetizer I wanted to try the baked chicaron priced at P100.00. This was not as crunchy as the normal chicarons.

The grilled pork chops was my favorite! This tastes really good, it was a bit expensive at around P300 pesos but as mentioned 2 people can share this.
I think this was the steak and mushroom pie priced at P110.00. I bought some of this to eat at home. It really wasn't anything spectacular for me.

Rowena's Pasalubong

Before going home from Tagaytay, we also dropped by Rowena's Pasalubong which was just across the place we were staying.

Their selection of food for pasalubong are wide and Mac bought their buko pies while I tasted the Banana chips which was good.

Bulalo at RSM

Having Bulalo in Tagaytay is perfect because of the cold climate. Mac and I have tried Leslie's before so we ate at RSM this time.

And the winner is RSM! The soup is better than Leslie's.

The picture doesn't do justice to how good this was. I think an order of this is around P450.00 good already for 6 people.

We also tried the bangus belly kare-kare and Sisig which was just okay.

Room for Rent in Tagaytay - Filitico

My college friends and I went to Tagaytay last weekend. We wanted a cheap place to stay suited for a barkada.

Our first choice was Keni Po but they were fully booked that weekend so we ended up in Filitico. Filitico is a place just along the road if you are coming from Sta. Rosa exit and it is just across Rowena's so you won't miss it. They also have a sign in front because the place just looks like a regular house.

They have 4 rooms for rent and we stayed at 1 room which was already good for 6 people. They had a queen sized bed and provided 2 double-sizes mattresses. Total cost for 6 people is only P3,600.00. Really cheap and worth it since the place is relatively new and clean. I think if there is only 2 of you, the rate is P1,500.00

The bathroom also has hot and cold water, cable TV, ref and they can also provide cooking stuff for a charge if you want to cook.

In the morning, Ate Nancy (the owner) will bring you your free breakfast. The breakfast is already included in the room rate. Their coffee is good.

Early Christmas Gift

This weekend Mac and I had our early exchange gifts for Christmas! :)

Makes me realize how fond of gadgets we both are.

He got me a new head unit for my car. I love it! I can now play music videos, movies (perfect for going home to Bulacan), there's also a hands free bluetooth, a rear camera, TV... I just really love it. :)
