Being a very Catholic family, we do not go on a holiday during the holy week. Holy week is one of the few occasions when our family is complete. We usually spend it at home attending all the required masses and traditions.
During holy Thursday, we'd hear mass that includes the washing of the feet. After which, we'd go and do the Bisita Iglesia. This year we visited the churces in Cruz na Daan, Tangos, Plaridel, Makinabang, Baliuag, Bustos and of course our church.
Good Friday is spent hearing the 3pm "putol na misa" and attending the prusisyon.
Black Saturday is when we prepare the karo for the salubong the next day. Ate Cel and their family would go to our house to help in fixing the karo because it's their "poon".
This year's holy week has been a welcome vacation and It's really nice to see my family again. The only thing that would make it better is if we had little kids running around the house already.
By the way, Mac has a new food discovery. He bought a box of pinipig pulvoron from HOP (house of pulvoron) which he absolutely loves. He ate one full pulvoron and I dared him to do a tongue twister while he was chewing on it. hehe
